Section 301 tariffs

/ New tariffs introduce a complex web of country-specific exemptions and HTS classifications that could significantly increase compliance work for sourcing teams.

The much anticipated Section 301 tariffs are now official.  But unlike previous tariffs which applied specific tariff rates across most imports, the new Section 301 includes a lot of fine print. 

In fact it could end up that the cost of determining which items face tariffs and which are exempt could cost more than simply paying a 10-12.5% tariff.
