Amazon has launched “Amazon Supply Chain Services” (ASCS), rolling its logistics network into a single offering for businesses across all sales channels – not just Amazon sellers.

The company is opening up a system it built for itself over the past 20 years. That system now includes freight, customs clearance, warehousing, fulfillment, and last-mile delivery.

This is not a small step. It signals Amazon’s intent to compete more directly with global 3PLs and freight forwarders.

It’s also potentially creating dynamic new opportunities for brands who are looking to better manage increasingly complicated global supply chains.
