Materials prices have inched up this week supported by higher oil prices.  

• Prices for almost all synthetic yarns and fibers increased week-on-week, while cotton prices also rebounded.
• Wool surged nearly 2% this week and has increased 61 AUD/100Kg or 5.29% since the beginning of 2025.
• Still, the market remains cautious, with renewed concerns about U.S. trade policies and their effects on global cotton demand, alongside broader economic uncertainties.  
• Oil futures fell on uncertainty around global demand, as well as a sharp rise in US crude inventories.
