The combination of free trade agreements and a domestic textile supply chain are giving the nation a strategic advantage as a global textile player.

When brands look at new sourcing opportunities Egypt is increasingly showing up on their radar.

The nation’s proximity to the EU and its domestic supply chain for cotton, along with duty-free access to the EU market, is making brands take a second look at Egypt.  That drove exports to the EU up 42 percent to $107 million in January and February, per Readymade Garment Export Council (RMGEC) data.
