Manufacturers are shifting their growth strategies by integrating and augmenting workers with AI and other technologies to transform manufacturing and build a skilled workforce over the next five years.

A recent survey of leading global manufacturers revealed that in every market, manufacturers are taking technology very seriously.  However, for many, the stumbling blocks are finding ‘the right technology for the right job’ and implementing it.  There’s also the challenge of integrating new technology into existing systems and processes, as well as upskilling workers.

According to a survey from Zebra Technologies, manufacturers worldwide are betting heavily on AI.  

Although manufacturers say digital transformation is a strategic priority, achieving a fully connected factory remains elusive.

One of the biggest areas where manufacturers would like to deploy advanced technology is in helping them cope with quality and compliance.  The demands around both continue to get more difficult. Manufacturers are having to do more, with fewer assets.
