Geopolitical tensions are dominating the mainstream news, but for apparel sourcing the bigger issues remain rebalancing supply chains to reduce risk and trying to plan in an economic landscape that looks uncomfortably uncertain.
The push to reduce reliance on any one country, along with the desire to establish greater nearshoring opportunities to support supply chain flexibility and speed, is keeping brands busy.
However, the picture that is emerging is more moderate.
