Fundamentals Win as Brands Grow in Tough Market
This month’s earnings reports told an interesting story. Even in a challenging market, brands can grow both their top lines – and bottom lines.
Both Levi’s and Fast Retailing reported strong performances, on top of previously healthy earnings last quarter, and raised growth forecasts in the next quarter (Levi’s) and coming year (Fast Retailing). Nike has started (we hope) its turnaround after nearly two years of disappointing earnings.
