Revenue held up fairly well in Q1 and in April, but margins remain under pressure.
The good news is that more retailers have doubled down on clearing old inventory from the 2022 pile up.
More retailers will have to shift their focus from growing the top line to managing the bottom line as well. Hence, slower but more profitable growth.
Most banks are expecting the Federal Reserve Bank, the European Central Band and the Bank of England to raise rates by an estimated 0.25% during their May meetings.
