A surge in investment from China and Turkey is helping to bring more brands to Egypt, where they are finding a very appealing balance of costs and product capabilities. When the US set reciprocal tariffs on Egypt at only 10%, the nation became a ‘must consider’ for most US brands.
Egypt’s export performance in 2025 has further validated its sourcing potential. In the first seven months of the year, ready-made garment exports surged 26% to reach $1.939 billion, with full-year projections expected to exceed $3.7 billion.
