Strong Earnings from Across All Brands

Shopify (Canada) reported Q4 revenue rose 31.2% to $2.81 billion, beating analysts’ expectations.   Net income nearly doubled to $1.29 billion compared to $657 million a year ago.  

  • Gross merchandise volume increased 25.7% year-over-year to $94.5 billion. Merchant solutions revenue increased 32.6% year-over-year to $2.15 billion.
  • For Q1 2025, the e-commerce platform expects revenue to grow by a percentage in the mid-twenties.

 

Crocs (USA) reported  Q4 revenue rose 3% to $990 million.  Operating income fell 4% to $200 million.  Full year 2024 revenue rose 4% to $4.1 billion, while operating income fell 1% to $1,022 million.  The Heydude brand remains a drag on sales.

  • Brand revenue was down 13.2% to $824 million for the full year and was flat in Q4.  Croc brands sales rose 8.8% to $3,278 million for the full year.
  • Crocs expects Q1 2025 revenue to be flat with Heydude sales down 14 to 16 percent.

 

Delta Galil (Israel) reported Q4 sales rose 18% to $599.2 million, driven by growth in all segments, channels and geographics.   EBITA rose 15% to $64.7 million.  

  • Full year sales increased 10% to a record $2,046 million. Full year EBITA rose 9%.
  • Full year sales for the company’s own brands rose 21%, while Q4 sales were up 22%.
  • Net income in the full year 2024 increased 11% to $94.6 million Q4 net income rose 8% to $41.0 million.

 

Hermes (France) reported full year 2024 revenue rose 15% to €15.2 billion ($15.8 billion), with Q4 sales up 18% to €4.0 billion ($4.2 billion).  

  • ​​Asia (excluding Japan)  rose +7% thanks to solid sales in all the countries in the area.  Sales in Japan were up 23%. Sales in the Americas were up 15%, while sales in Europe rose 19%.
  • Sales were driven by leather goods (+18%) and apparel and accessories (+15%).
  • Operating income for the year rose 16% to €6.2 billion ($6.4 billion), with net profit up 7% to €4.6 billion ($4.8 billion). Silk and textile sales were up 4%.
