Retailers are striving for precise inventory management this season.  No one is denying that there are concerns about consumer sentiment and the economic landscape in key consumer markets – including those brands that are optimistic about the season.

In order to hedge against a potentially low season – but be ready to seize the moment should consumer spending be surprisingly strong –  retailers have rolled out inventory strategies that are much more sophisticated than what we typically see.
