Wendler Interlining (Germany) has opened a state-of-the-art factory in Vietnam.
The facility is located in Tam Ky City, Quang Nam Province and is wholly-owned by Wendler.
The new factory has an annual capacity of 30 million meters of interlining. Including its warehousing infrastructure, it will have a minimum stock level of around 2 million meters.
With sustainability a priority, Wendler’s new facility is LEED Gold certified, one of only 18 factories in Vietnam that meets this standard.
The energy for production is generated through climate neutral biomass fuel. In due course, solor based energy will be installed.
Wastewater from its bleaching and dyeing process is treated at the highest technological standards, and is potable and reintegrated into the production process through a fully closed cycle, according to Andrew Bach, general director at Wendler Vietnam.
Special exhaust filters in the boiler process are minimizing CO2 emissions.
“Wendler is a family-owned business and we take responsibility for our employees, customers the community, and of course our environment,” said Dr. Gerhart Wendler, Shareholder and Chairman of Wendler Interlining Group.
