Importers might be heading back to the Silk Road. But this time they’ll be bringing back cotton garments.

As brands look to diversify their sourcing portfolio’s there is growing interest in Central Asia.  In particular, Uzbekistan, with its domestic cotton production, is suddenly getting serious attention – even if actual order volumes from European brands are still very small.

Still, Inside Fashion is increasingly hearing brands talk about exploring opportunities in Uzbekistan, confirming that there is interest.
