The UK and Egypt are poised to sign a free trade agreement (FTA), one of the first post-Brexit trade deals.
The announcement came during a virtual conference, entitled “The Role of the Government in Supporting the Private Sector”, organised by the British Egyptian Business Association, according to local media reports.
For the UK, Egypt represents a gateway to Africa. For Egypt, the UK could potentially see stronger growth as an export market.
