Carriers Still Feel Bullish, but For How Long

OUTLOOK   Both carriers and shippers are focusing on shipment visibility – from factory to selling floor and as granular as down to the SKU level.  The objective is to take ‘just in time’ to the next level of control, an effort that will help reduce excess inventories. This not only will play a role in reducing costs, but will also help brands’ sustainability efforts as well.

💰 OOCL is so confident its balance sheet can withstand current market challenges that the carrier has returned 70 percent of its net profit to shareholders, per the Journal of Commerce.
