Intelligent Automation is the next step up from process automation, which most companies are already using – to a greater or lesser degree. 

Amazon Web Services (AWS) describes intelligent automation as “the process of using artificial intelligence (AI) to make self-improving software automation.”

IBM explains that ‘intelligent automation’ includes three cognitive technologies that work together to provide powerful business and industrial solutions.  These include AI, business process management and robotic process automation (RPA).
