By taking reference to 4 product models, which involve over 40 types of production equipment and analyse the data traced from more than 200 manufacturing processes, Crystal Denim designs a questionnaire at MyBluPrint to be answered by all denim lovers or people who are interested in knowing the carbon footprint of producing a pair of jeans. The users can try to design a denim product on the interactive platform. After the creation, MyBluPrint can enable the users to visualise the amount of carbon emissions generated from that particular denim product, educate them about the low-carbon design and manufacturing, and understand the action bringing positive impact in the fashion industry.
Launching an educational platform themed carbon footprint calculator for the denim enthusiasts, Crystal Denim aspires to arouse public attention to the importance of carbon reduction from every sector, throughout the supply chain, including manufacturers, retailers, and end consumers.
