Why Bangladesh is Unbeatable

Manufacturing in Bangaldesh
Bangladesh is going from volume to value as factories become more sophisticated.
Most people still think of Bangladesh in terms of what it was, rather than what it is becoming.

Few conversations about the apparel industry don’t include Bangladesh.

Previously, it was about holding up Bangladesh as the benchmark for poor quality, even worse compliance, and dreadful logistics.

While the ports are still a challenge, the nation’s manufacturers have been working to improve what they can improve, and that’s the quality of their products, the efficiency of their production, and of course, investing in cleaner and greener processes.

Even after COVID dealt the nation’s apparel industry a devastating blow, manufacturers were up and running again quickly, with capacity back to 80 percent by August, and increasing each month since.

Still, the media and NGOs tend to focus on what Bangladesh was, rather than what it is becoming.
